Area Code NPA-NXX Database mapping visualization of North America
Derived from Official NANPA Assignments

Why Choose Us?

It's really quite simple — official source data, checked by people who know what an OCN is, and a phone number that a person actually answers. Below is every reason, in full, plus the emails from customers who found out for themselves.

We would rather you checked. These are the questions that actually separate one NPA-NXX data provider from another — and our answers to them.

Where does the data come from?
Official NANPA central office code assignments, then enriched in-house with ZIP Code correlation, geocoding, time zones and carrier attribution. NANPA publishes the assignments; the useful part is everything joined onto them.
How much of the file actually carries a carrier name?
The number most providers will not put in writing. Ours: 79% of rows carry Company and OCN, 83% carry the landline/wireless classification, 83% have a resolved coordinate. Every column's fill rate is published on the data dictionary.
Does it include Canada?
Yes — the numbering plan is North American, so Canadian and NANP territory codes are in the file, about 28,000 rows across 54 area codes. They are carried for reference and are not enriched to the same depth as U.S. records; we would rather say so than let you discover it.
Do you ship inactive codes, or only live ones?
Both, flagged by Status. You need the inactive ones — rejecting a number is as much a job as accepting one. A provider who ships only active codes cannot tell “retired” from “never existed”.
Does it follow ported numbers?
No, and neither does anyone else's file. A number that moved carrier still reads as its original code holder. Live portability needs an LNP dip, not a database, and a provider claiming otherwise is describing a different product.
How often is it updated, and for how long?
Quarterly — four full refreshes a year, for the whole term you buy. Each release is a complete file, not a delta, so there is no sync state to get wrong.
Can you see the price without talking to sales?
Yes. Every price is on the pricing section, starting at $249.95/year. No demo required, no quote to chase.
Does it renew without asking?
No. There is no automatic renewal — when the term is up, you decide.
Are there query limits or per-call fees?
None. You download the files and query them as much as you like, on your own infrastructure.
What if it turns out not to fit?
30-day money-back guarantee, unconditional.
Who answers when you call?
A person, in the United States, on 1-800-425-1169 — during business hours, usually within the hour by email too.
