About ZIP Code 91371

Los Angeles Pierce College operates under dedicated ZIP code 91371 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles County. Founded on September 15, 1947, as the Clarence W. Pierce School of Agriculture with just 70 students and 18 faculty, the college was named for Dr. Clarence W. Pierce, a retired physician and LA Board of Education member who advocated for agricultural education to serve returning World War II veterans. The institution was renamed Los Angeles Pierce College in 1956 and remains the only campus in the nine-college Los Angeles Community College District named for a person. The USPS assigned this unique postal designation prior to 2004.

The sprawling 426-acre campus near Warner Center is larger than UCLA's campus and includes a 226-acre working farm with a $13 million equestrian center. The grounds feature over 2,200 trees, thousands of roses, and a 1.9-acre botanical garden, along with California Historical Landmark No. 939.5, Old Trapper's Lodge. Today Pierce College serves 20,000 students across 145 disciplines and ranks number one among California's 116 community colleges in transfer acceptance to both UCLA and CSUN. Postal records identify 3 ZIP+4 codes routing to the campus. Woodland Hills serves as the valid mailing city.
